In late June of 2017, we are embarking upon an update to our Greenbuilt Home -- a solar garage project that will provide 104% of the electricity needed by our family of 5 to live in our home.
Because the home is already all-electric (no active gas line -- or gas bills for that matter!), and because our electricity is provided exclusively by a geothermal system, powering our electric home by generating solar energy has been a long-time goal.
The project is expected to last through the end of July 2017, and we will be posting updates and photos on this page. Stay tuned!
